On April 10, a delegation of Nhan Dan Newspaper under the Southern region paid a visit to Binh Duong province to learn about local socio-economy, typical models of business and production, provincial integrated administration center and exchange with Binh Duong Newspaper and some mass media agencies located at in the province.
Receiving the delegation were Nguyen Huu Tu, vice secretary of the provincial party committee, Nguyen Minh Giao, head of the provincial Propaganda and Education Committee, Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and some leaders of departments, agencies and mass bodies.
At the reception, Nguyen Huu Tu briefed the guests on some features on local socio-economy over the past years, especially local leaders’ promotion of solidarity, motivation, creation for implementing the 5-year plan of 2011-2015.
In the past year and the first quarter of 2015, local GDP reached more than VND61.2mn while industrial production value won VND187,531bn, a 15.6% increase compared to the previous last year. Besides, indexes of goods retail, export revenue, foreign investment attraction and more increased stably at over 15% in this period.
After hearing about local socio-economic growth, Duong Hong Lam, vice head of Nhan Dan Newspaper in the HCMC highly appreciated Binh Duong’s effort and motivation in the process of local socio-economic development.
In the coming time, Nhan Dan Newspaper will continue to disseminate the Central’s orientations to contribute to take Binh Duong into central city prior to 2020.
