Early September 6, North Tan Uyen district held a conference to announce it as the "green zone". The event was attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control; Dr. Duong Chi Nam, Deputy Head of the Environmental Management Department under the Ministry of Health (MoH), Head of the MoH’s Working Group in Binh Duong and leaders of a number of departments and sectors in the province.
Efforts to green the locality
According to North Tan Uyen district’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, at the time of promulgating its plan on “green zone" construction, the district had 2 communes as "green zones"; 5 communes and townships as "yellow zones" and 3 communes and towns as "red zones". There were also 25 quarters and hamlets as "green zones"; 15 quarters and hamlets as "golden zones" and 14 quarters and hamlets as "red zones". With the effort to implement the plan, the district has so far had 53 “green” quarters and hamlets, an increase of 28 compared to the time of issuing the plan. There has been no "red” hamlet, and only one "yellow" hamlet in Dat Cuoc commune. Up to now, the district has "greened" all its 10 communes and towns.
Taking drastic measures against Covid-19 has helped North Tan Uyen district "green" itself as planned. In picture: A checkpoint in North Tan Uyen district’s Dat Cuoc commune
After announcing it as the "green zone", North Tan Uyen district has continued strengthening solutions for socio-economic recovery and development, ensuring national defense and security in the "new normal" state. Particularly, in the field of agriculture, the district will further monitor production and consumption of agricultural products to apply timely support policies for the local farmers. In addition, the district has actively cooperated with provincial Department of Industry and Trade to set up plans for consumption of agricultural products in the "new normal" state, ensuring the local production chain and supply of agricultural products. The district has also allowed facilities trading in agricultural materials to resume, creating favorable conditions for the local farmers to cultivate, but they must ensure strict implementation of regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.
Besides, the district allows localities that are "green zones" to reopen for traditional markets and business households. But they are only allowed to trade in essential goods while strictly implementing measures against the pandemic and social distancing. The district will also maintain the forms of "mobile sales", "going grocery shopping for residents” and "take-away sales" to minimize mass gatherings.
Depending on the local real situation, the district will consider and allow more services to resume, aiming to reduce difficulties for business households and contribute to the local economic recovery in the "new normal" state. The district will also further implement a plan to reorganize the production of enterprises in the new context in accordance with guidance documents and instructions of the province, ensuring safe production and good implementation of Covid-19 prevention and control, ensuring the strict implementation of the "3 on-site" or the "3 green" models in accordance with the instructions. The district will continue supporting enterprises that have registered to perform the "3 on-site" or "1 road, 2 locations" production models to fully meet conditions as prescribed.
Further maintaining the "green zone"
Addressing the conference, Mr.Ha acknowledged and praised the efforts and determination by North Tan Uyen district in drastically implementing its plan building the "green zone" on the Covid-19 map to bring the district back to the "new normal" state. Particularly, the district has implemented synchronous solutions to tighten management, zoning, tracing to effectively stamp out the pandemic ...
After announcing it as the "green zone", returning to the "new normal" state, North Tan Uyen district needs to focus on solutions to gradually recover the local production and business activities. The district must not be subjective or negligent, but needs to further implement measures to protect and maintain the "green zone", strictly implement the Directive No. 15+ under the local real situation to ensure production and business activities, Covid-19 prevention and control, and continue greening the local remaining "yellow spot".
He noted that regarding vaccination work, the district needs to fully recheck a list of subjects for vaccination in order to reach 100% of people with the first Covid-19 vaccine shot. Next, the district will plan to complete the second Covid-19 vaccine shot for people. This is because only vaccines will ensure the maintenance of the results of Covid-19 prevention and control. The district also needs to be flexible in implementing social distancing, recovering production and business activities with attention to measures against the pandemic; ensure political security, social order and safety and well perform the local social welfare policies...
Having the same point of view with Mr. Ha, Dr. Duong Chi Nam said that the Ministry of Health will give priority to providing adequate Covid-19 vaccines for people aged 18 and over in the province to increase herd immunity. Although North Tan Uyen district is a "green" locality, the local health sector needs to prepare medical supplies, especially Covid-19 drugs such as anticoagulants and anti-inflammatory drugs to be ready to well serve treatment of Covid-19 patients.
On September 5, provincial People's Committee sent an official dispatch to the "green zone" districts, namely Dau Tieng, Bau Bang, Phu Giao and North Tan Uyen on the implementation of measures against the pandemic. In the spirit of the official dispatch, after September 5, these localities will end the implementation of social distancing under the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 16. So far, they have announced them as the "green zones". In order to further implement Covid-19 prevention and control in association with bringing people’s life back to the "new normal" state, provincial People's Committee Chairman has assigned the People's Committees of the four localities to apply for the opinions of the district-level Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control to proactively implement appropriate administrative measures, which is depended on the local real situation.
