To mark the 70th traditional day of the Vietnam People’s Police Force (August 19, 1945-August 19, 2015) and the 10th anniversary of the “All people protect national security” festival (August 19, 1945-August 19, 2015), North Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union, on August 15, worked with the province and district’s police forces to organize a delegation to visit, provide medical check-ups and gifts for heroic Vietnamese mothers and policy beneficiary families in the district.
In Tan My commune, the delegation visited and presented 14 gifts, including sugar, milk, cooking oil, seasoning powder together VND500,000 in cash each, to policy beneficiaries; donated 86 other gifts, comprising of sugar, milk, cooking oil, seasoning powder plus VND100,000 in cash each, to poor and near-poor households; awarded 20 scholarships worth VND300,000 each to poor-but-excellent pupils.
The delegation also paid a visit to heroic Vietnamese mothers and gave them gifts worth VND1mln each. This was seen as a significant deed of the local young generation for policy beneficiary families and those with merits to the revolution.
