Leaders of Thuan An town, on October 2, held a delegation to visit and present gifts to orphan and disabled children at the town’s Center for Disabled Children in Lai Thieu ward, Bo De Dao Trang pagoda in Binh Chuan ward, Tu Tam charity house in Vinh Phu ward…
In each visiting place, the delegation presented moon-cakes to children while wishing them a joyful and warm mid-autumn season.
*On the evening of October 1, provincial Red Cross Society and Buddhist Sangha jointly held a program named “Full-moon festival night”, absorbing more than 700 children in TDM city.
These children had a chance to enjoy art performance items from provincial Cultural House for Children. The organizers also awarded 60 scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils worth VND1million together with 450 gifts worth VND250,000 each, comprising of rice, instant noodle, lanterns, soft drink and moon-cakes, to children with difficult circumstances in the city.
*Di An town held a mid-autumn festival for children at Binh An ward’s charity class on the evening of October 1.
The festival took place very animatedly with dragon-lion and unicorn dances, art performance items…In addition, hundreds of gifts, including moon-cakes and lanterns, from donors were also gave for these children. They also received 50 gifts worth VND350,000 each from the town’s People’s Committee on this occasion.
*Di An town’s Youth Union organized a program named “Full-moon night of love” for the offspring of young workers in Tan Binh ward’s Tan Hiep quarter with special art performance items.
On this occasion, the town’s Youth Union coordinated with Ho Lang MTB Cyclists’ Club to give 30 gifts worth VND250,000 each for the offspring of young workers with difficult circumstances; donated 800 gifts worth VND12million to participating children and those living at the local lodging facilities.
*On the mid-autumn festival, Tran Thi Thao, Vice-Chairwoman of Ben Cat town’s People’s Committee together with representatives of the town’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs held a delegation to visit and present gifts to children at the town’s Blind Association, Huong Duong social support center and those being treated at the town’s Health Center.
In each visiting place, the delegation extended best regards to children on the mid-autumn festival while wanting that they will surmount difficulties and try harder in study in the new academic year.
On this occasion, the town’s People’s Committee presented nearly 80 gifts worth more than VND24million, comprising of moon-cakes, lanterns and cash, to these children.
