“Nurturing aspiration” program offers support to 2 pediatric patients with difficult circumstances

On September 9, the "Nurturing aspiration" program organized by provincial Children's Fund in collaboration with Binh Duong Radio and Television Station visited and offered support to the families of Nguyen Duc Kien and Phan Gia Bao.

Nguyen Duc Kien (4 months old, living in Tan Dong Hiep ward’s Dong Thanh quarter in Di An city) has a congenital heart disease. Doctors have prescribed surgery to maintain his health. The cost of the heart surgery is about VND 80 million after deducting health insurance. However, his family is very poor. His father is a worker while his mother has stopped working since giving birth.

Phan Gia Bao, born in 2012, living in Tan Thanh township’s quarter 1 in North Tan Uyen district has suffered from nephrotic syndrome since he was 2 years old. Doctors have prescribed him monthly dialysis with treatment cost from VND6million-VND15 million (excluding health insurance). His family is very poor. His mother left him when he was 8 years old. Now, he is living with my father and grandmother. My father works at home as a motorcycle repairman and works as a porter to earn extra income.

In the visiting places, representatives of provincial Children's Fund visited, encouraged the two children and gave each of them VND 20 million. On this occasion, local authorities, actress Hong Trang and donors also gave gifts for the two families, helping have more conditions to care for these children.
