Early August 12, Dau Tieng district’s Red Cross Society held a conference to review its activities at schools.
The society’s branches at district-based schools over the past time mobilized organizations and individuals to present 312 Tet gifts worth VND62mln, 272 mid-autumn gifts worth VND51mln, 76 scholarships worth more than VND60mln together with 50 notebooks to poor pupils; helped 58 pupils be exempted from school fees of more than VND13mln; supported VND47.66mln for the local Fund for the poor, disabled children, Truong Sa (Spratly), Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelagoes and people hit by natural disasters; launched a campaign of raising 232 piggybanks with VND37.67mln collected…
In the coming time, they will continue mobilizing all sources to develop “red cross” movements at schools and join hands with hamlets’ executive boards to mobilize 100% of pupils to go to school in the 2015-2016 new academic year.
