The provincial People’s Committee yesterday joined in a national online conference on one-year implementation of project on vocational training for rural laborers till 2020. The conference was chaired by Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan.
At the conference, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs cum head of the steering board of the project reported the implementation of the project. Accordingly, 2010 was the first year of implementing the project. The project’s overall goal is to train employment for about 1 million rural laborers, improve the quality and efficiency of vocational training.
In 2010 alone, the project’s goal was to train employment for about 400,000 rural laborers, hold a pilot model of vocational training for about 400,000 rural laborers.
The conference ratified project’s goal for this year. Accordingly, about 500,000 rural laborers will enjoy vocational training classes.
Concluding the conference, the deputy PM asked ministries and agencies to focus on concrete field and time in 2011 to make premise for success of the project in the coming years.
