Established in 2012, Project 103 have been supporting young working people access science and technology along with computer science training, opening up pathway for them in the major economic zone of Vietnam – Binh Duong Province, the outburst place for over 1.2 million working people.
Job creation in café shops
As part of Project 103, Job Creation Café Shop was newly introduced by Binh Duong Center for Job Introduction for Young People in a bid to connect laborers especially young ones to enterprises.

The laborers, thus, should be updated with labor market information.
Besides, the Job Creation Café Shop should be a place for exchanging, discussing, and negotiating employment contracts.
The shop was named “Viet Lam” (Job) located at No. 168, Phu Loi Street, Phu Hoa Ward, Thu Dau Mot City on an area of 75m2 with investment cost of over VND 200 million.
Talking to us, Mr. Nguyen Van Bac, the shop owner, said that in open space, young people in working ages should enjoy drinks to relax while getting information about jobs, recruitment, training courses, and job opportunities through various sources of documents and online websites.
As informed by Bac, from the date of establishment, the shop has attracted over 2,000 young people in working age to seek for jobs. As a result, over 100 people have been employed.
Mr. Tran Tan Dinh, Deputy Director of Binh Duong Center for Job Introduction for Young People, said that the café shop not only contributed to the needs of job seeking among laborers but also funded the center over VND 30 million. For the funds collected, the center should be in service of free job introduction and gifting of 1,500 books guiding on job seeking to young people coming to the center.
Meantime, the center has organized extra servicing time for job introduction on week days from 17:00 to 20:00.
Diversified vocational training support
From the success of Viet Lam Café Shop, Binh Duong Center for Job Introduction for Young People has organized plenty of short-term training and sandwich courses for local youths across districts, towns, and Thu Dau Mot City in a bid to support them with vocational training and job creation to promote and effectively utilize labor sources especially from young people in the face of meeting demands of industrialization, modernization, and global integration.
Talking to us, Mr. Dinh informed that 9 classes of information dissemination officers specialized in “job seeking skills” to 950 trainees. Two training classes on career orientation have been held with participation of 68 high school teachers while career orientation has been held across 15 high schools with participation of 6,200 students.
Impressively, the 4 classes of “enterprise starting up” with 295 trainees have offered actual activities and movement with rich interaction knowledge for young people.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Nguyen, the speaker of enterprise starting up, shared his experiences of business idea hatching to completion of a business body and its functions of marketing, customer reception, vendor, customer care, etc.
It was important that, the courses have equipped their trainees with confidence and identity to become entrepreneurs in the future.
Thanks to practical contents and joyful forms, young people in working age have been attracted. Meantime, the center has linked up with various companies to offer skillful training and soft skill courses to the laborers.
“If we could have a synchronous input in terms of equipment, facilities, job consultancy improvement, and resource strengthening, the Project 103 shall be the answer to job creation,” said Mr. Tran Tan Dinh.
