Opportunities for young factory workers

The Center for operations of Young Factory Workers and Working People (CYFWWP) of Binh Duong Province just implemented the program of “free basic IT training 2014” for young factory workers opening up opportunities for them to access IT and improve quality of labor force in the locality.

The Center for operations of Young Factory Workers and Working People (CYFWWP) of Binh Duong Province just implemented the program of “free basic IT training 2014” for young factory workers opening up opportunities for them to access IT and improve quality of labor force in the locality.

As approved by the steering board for IT universalization, the CYFWWP has promoted to introduce computers and instructors to build up curriculum for young factory workers regarding the use of Corel, Photoshop, Autocard 2D & 3D, computer assemble and disassemble, computer network, website design, etc.

Currently, the instructors have the first instruction days for hundreds of factory workers of Rohto- Mentholatum Vietnam in VSIP 1 of Thuan An Town and Foster Vietnam Electronics at VSIP II of Thu Dau Mot Town. It is expected that 15 classes of IT shall be held for young factory workers from now to the end of December 2014.

Each class shall be for about 40 trainees in 5 to 7 lessons.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lieu, 28, residing in Thai Nguyen, working for Foster Vietnam Electronics, said that she had been working in Binh Duong Province for 9 years and this was the second time she was able to join free IT training courses at her company.

The classroom was divided into small groups of the same knowledge to meet the demands of learners. Lieu said: “Those courses are meaningful to me in terms of improving office knowledge and skills. The lesson was much improved than last year.”

Mr. Dao Duy Khang, Chair of Labor Union of Rohto-Mentholatum, said: “The opening of IT training courses is amazing to improve knowledge of young factory workers and the make them secured with positions in the province and their unity with the company and our locality.”

Mr. Do Van Phung, Deputy Director of CYFWWP said that by the entrust of Provincial Project of IT Universalization for young factory workers in 2014, CYFWWP has connected with enteprises to bring computers to companies before inviting instructors to help.

“It is hopeful that attendants shall be able to make use of what have been learned and their work shall be more efficient,” Phung said.
