In 2008, after joining in a training course on horticulture held by Tan Uyen district Youth Union, Pham Minh Tuan was charmed by a model of planting orchids. With 500 initial orchid trees, he has drawn experiences for himself and searched more information from other orchid growers. After that he purchased additional 2,000 other orchid trees worth VND20mil. As a result, he has gained the initial success.
His 60sqm orchid
plantation has so far had numerous kinds of orchid. “To develop the orchid
growing, I will search more new varieties of orchid and attend a training class
on orchid tissue transplantation in Thailand
for the purpose of multiplication in Vietnam”, Tuan said.
He has just sold 2,000 orchid trees worth VND30mil. Lastly, he involved in a pilot model of planting vegetable sprouts after participating in a training class on agriculture promotion.
Regarding Tuan, local leaguers consider him as a dynamic and wholehearted youth. He always engages in local movements. Through local youth union’s activities, Tuan has established a supportive team for youths to involve in agriculture for the sake of production development.
