Outspreading month of charity

This year, the Central Vietnam Red Cross launched pilot Month of Charity in some provinces and cities, then will summarize the experience to spread across the country. In response to the humanitarian month, the Red Cross also developed an organizational plan with practical and meaningful activities aiming at caring for poor people in the community.

In response to the "humanitarian month" launched by the Central Committee of the Red Cross, together with humanitarian charitable activities in the locality, the Red Cross Association of Tan Uyen recently cooperated with the Association and the volunteer club of the town to organize visits and gifts for children and poor Ba Na ethnic minority people in Dak Mei commune, Dak Doa district, Gia Lai province. At Dam Somei Primary School, the delegation presented 50 gifts to disadvantaged students, each worth 350,000 VND. This is a meaningful gift that the Tan Uyen Town Red Cross has mobilized donors to help share to help poor students have more conditions to go to school. The members of the delegation also visited health and encouraged the spirit of disadvantaged children studying in the school to try to study hard to become useful people in the society. Besides giving gifts to pupils, the delegation also came to the village of Dak Danh Mei commune and presented 50 gifts for lonely elderly people with disabilities, each gift worth VND 350 thousand.

Month of Charity is the peak month for the entire people to do humanitarian work, organized in a practical and efficient manner with the participation of many agencies, organizations and people of all classes under the leadership of the Party committees and promoted. play the core role, bridge, coordination of the Red Cross in humanitarian work and Red Cross activities. The humanitarian month is from 1 to 31 May 2018, the peak from 8 to 19-5. All levels of the Red Cross will take the initiative in coordinating with the concerned agencies to conduct surveys and compile dossiers on disadvantaged persons who need assistance in the localities in the form of "humanitarian addresses"; Advise Party committees and authorities to direct, mobilize and coordinate organizations and individuals to assist the "Humanitarian addresses" in the direction of sustainable development. Activities will take place in Humanitarian Month, including: Voluntary Blood Donation, Humanitarian Clinics, Health Counseling, Free Medication, Gifts for the Needy.
