Outstanding activities in caring for young workers

In 2016, provincial Support Center for Young Workers had a variety of outstanding activities in taking care of young workers with positive effects.

Particularly, the center introduced jobs to more than 2,000 young workers and had regular connectivity with 200 enterprises to introduce jobs free of charge to young workers. The center also organized talk shows on healthcare, cultural behaviors, working manners, skills to build happy families for young workers; set up 5 clubs “Connecting young workers” with 300 members working for companies at province-based industrial parks, namely My Phuoc 1, 2, 3, VSIP II…Especially, 85 young workers belonging to the clubs were admitted into the Ho Chi Minh Communist Young Union.

In addition, the center organized a lot of useful playgrounds with diversified contents and forms, comprising of festivals on folk games, joyful Sundays, singing contests, football tournaments, market-days of Vietnamese goods…for young workers. The center also coordinated with units to organize variety shows free of charge, lucky draw programs for young workers and presented gifts to those with difficult circumstances…

The center also attached special importance to taking care of young workers with difficult circumstances through many significant programs, including an economical and civilized collective wedding party program. On the annual Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, the center was very busy with spring programs for young workers. The center worked with units to give free bus tickets for young workers to return home for Tet together with hundreds of thousands of gifts.

Such these apart, the center made efforts in caring for the offspring of young workers via organizing Ngoi Sao Nho (Little star) preschool. In the 2015-2016 academic year, the school had a total of 200 kids and took good care of them under the instruction of the center. Over the past time, the school also carried out exemption and reduction on tuition fees for kids with difficult circumstances; organized periodic medical check-ups for all kids…

Do Van Phung, Director of provincial Support Center for Young Workers said that the school faced difficulties in the initial period, but thanks to the attention and support of the center’s Directorate, provincial Youth Union plus the efforts by teaching staff, it has step by step developed and won faith of parents being young workers.
