To implement Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP of the Government, Resolution No. 04/2021/NQ-HDND of Provincial People's Council and Decision No. 12/2021/QD-UBND of Provincial People's Committee on the payment of support for poor workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has coordinated with districts, towns and cities in the province to make a list of expenditures for 1,382,302 cases, with a total support amount of 760 billion VND.
Among these, support under Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP of the Government was given to 190,903 people, with the amount of 308.876 billion VND; support under Resolution No. 04/2021/NQ-HDND of Provincial People's Council to 724,652 people, with the amount of 217,396 billion VND; the rest was supported by Decision No. 12/2021/QD-UBND of Provincial People's Committee, with the amount of 233.374 billion VND.
Besides, Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs also advised Provincial People's Committee to issue Decision No. 09 on the payment of support for workers without labor contracts (freelance workers) and some other specific groups; So far, 117,239 people have been supported with total amount of VND 175,856 billion.
Particularly, following the policy of reducing the premium rate of occupational accident and occupational disease insurance and temporarily suspended contributions to retirement and survivorship fund, the number of units entitled to the reduction was 14,366 units, with 1,013,578 workers, total amount of 412.171 billion VND.
Nguyen Ngoc Hang, Deputy Director of Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, said that the department is coordinating well with districts, towns and cities to speed up the progress of support payment to workers, especially supports for accommodation, money for buying food of workers, and workers who do not have labor contracts. It is expected that the payment would be completed in August under the direction of Provincial People's Committee.
In addition, functional agencies continue to check dossiers, speeding up the payment progress of support to target groups according to Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP of the Government.
