Early April 24, Phu Giao district’s Steering Board for Humanitarian Blood Donation cooperated with Cho Ray Hospital’s Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center to organize the first voluntary blood donation stage of 2012.
Around 215 officials, teachers, pupils at high schools and people across the district took part in the voluntary blood donation stage with 215 blood units given or 30.7% of the year’s plan.
From now until the end of this year, the district’s Steering Board for Humanitarian Blood Donation will organize such 3 or 4 programs among officials, civil servants and armed forces, contributing to partially meeting the blood demand for emergency cases at hospitals.
