According to the outcome of the assessment of the 15-year implementation of the province’s “The entire people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle” campaign in the 2000-2015 period, the “Good people, good deeds” emulation movement actively contributed to forming up personality in building grassroots cultural lifestyle.
The emulation movement built, developed and honored good deeds done by individuals and collectives. The task of considering and honoring outstanding individuals was based on 5 virtues mentioned in the Resolution of the 5th Plenum of the 8th Party Central Committee: patriotism, solidarity, healthy lifestyle, diligence and fondness of learning.
As a result, more than 32,600 outstanding individuals were honored at the annual national great unity festival in residential quarters; there were also 9,390 outstanding households; 110 outstanding quarters, hamlets; 21 outstanding communes, wards and townships; more than 227 outstanding individuals in localities and 428 outstanding individuals in agencies, enterprises, mass organizations and armed forces honored by provincial People’s Committee.
