According to statistics, the whole province had 7,417 poor households in early this year. Thanks to the programs on poverty reduction and job generation effectively implemented, the number of poor households in the province was estimated at 3,044 or 1.38% of total and there were around 4,377 households near poverty as of October.
Thus, since early this year, the province has had 4,377 households free from poverty. It is estimated that there are more than 8,401 households free from poverty between 2009 and 2010 and 22,211 households free from poverty between 2006 and 2010.
The province this year has also mobilized organizations and individuals to build and present 266 unity houses (or 120% of the projection) with a total expense of VND6,489.3mln and upgrade four others with a total expense of VND35.19mln.
