Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee grants merit certificates to Korean doctors.
On Dec. 5, the provincial Health Department celebrated the anniversary ceremony of the 20 year friendly cooperation for patients with cleft lip and palates between Korea’s Ilwoong cleft lip and palates foundation and Binh Duong provincial health department. Attending the ceremony were Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Prof. Myun Jin Kim, president of Il Woong cleft lip and palates foundation and doctors.
This is the 20th time Il Woong cleft lip and palates foundation cooperates with Binh Duong to carry out free surgeries for local patients born with cleft lip and palates from Dec. 1-5 at the provincial general hospital.
Over the past 20 years, there are 453 patients born with cleft lip and palates in Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc provinces and neighboring areas enjoying the free surgeries. In addition, the delegation grants many medical equipments for Binh Duong provincial general hospital. Addressing the ceremony, Tran Thanh Liem highly appreciated precious contributions of the Korean doctors and extended thanks to their dedication.
He also hoped that Binh Duong would enjoy assistance of the Korean delegation in the coming time. Liem also affirmed that this is an annual significant activity, creating a close cement between Korea and Vietnam.
On this occasion, Vietnamese Government granted merit certificates to one collective and 5 individuals while the provincial People’s Committee donated merit certificates to 2 workgroups and 9 individuals.
