Early March 9, Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd.’s Red Cross Society in collaboration with Cho Ray hospital’s Blood Transfusion Center mobilized 250 cadres, Youth Union members, members, volunteers and workers of 4 rubber plantations under the company to give blood at Long Tan Rubber Plantation. As a result, the organizers collected 176 units of blood.
Along with policies as stipulated, the company’s Red Cross Society also mobilized each participating unit to give additional VND100,000 for a unit of blood, aiming to encourage blood donors.
This is the second blood mobilization stage organized by the company’s Red Cross Society to achieve a target of 1,000 units of blood set by provincial Mobilization Board of Voluntary Blood Donation.

The festival absorbed more than 300 volunteers. The organizers also collected 242 units of blood. It is known that the town’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation will strive to collect 2,250 units of blood in 2015, exceeding 450 units of blood compared to the yearly target. Accordingly, the town will organize 8 blood donation stages this year. The town has also collected more than 400 units of blood in the recent two stages or 22% of the yearly target.
