*Phu Giao’s Farmers Association awarded the emulation banner as a leading unit in the 2014 emulation movement
Early December 4, Phu Giao district’s Farmers Association held a conference to review its activities in 2014. Attending the event was Lam Van Hoa, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial Farmers Association.
The district’s Farmers Association in 2014 teamed up with relevant agencies to organize 393 propaganda shows on the Party and State’s policies and laws with more than 24,470 participants; promoted the emulation movement of “good farmer in production and business” with 8,038 members registering for participation or 118.2% of the set target… As a result, there were 6,815 households winning the title of “good farmer in production and business”. Among them, 54 were recognized as good farmers at central level, 687 at provincial level, 1,712 at district level and 4,362 at communal level.
To achieve the above result, the district’s Farmers Association considered and disbursed more than VND30bln in loan from many other sources for 2,148 farming households to develop homebased business; joined hands with relevant agencies to organize 82 training courses on sci-tech transfer for 6,000 farmers; opened 36 seminars with nearly 3,000 participants; held 6 tours to effective production models in and out of the province; carried out 62 tentative points on cultivation and animal husbandry; organized 24 vocational training courses for members…
On this occasion, the district’s Farmers Association was awarded the emulation banner as a leading unit in the 2014 emulation movement (photo). Two collectives and six individuals were presented the certificates of merit of provincial Farmers Association. Eighteen other collectives and individuals also received the certificates of merit of the district’s People’s Committee Chairman.
