As of the year of 2014, the provincial Social Insurance manages more than 6,000 units with more than 750,000 laborers involving in compulsory social and health insurance, accounting for 63.57% of workforce, 65% of which is under FDI businesses, 25% private enterprises and 10% state companies.
Implementing the 5-year plan on socio-economic development for the period of 2011-2015 of the provincial social insurance, the number of social and health insurers increases significantly. Specifically, there were 613,004 people in 2011 joining in social and health insurers, accounting for 57.09% of local workforce and 1,093,595 people in health insurance, winning 64.64% of local population. Till 2013, there were 713,595 compulsory social and health insurers, amounting for 63.02% of local workforce and 1,299.523 health insurers, accounting for 72.10% of local population.
As of the end of this year, the number of compulsory and voluntary health insurers will reach 1,389,744 people, accounting for 74.84% of local population.
