Over VND237billion spent on taking care of policy beneficiaries

Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) yesterday held a conference to review its activities in 2017, in attendance of Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

Last year, provincial DoLISA organized 19 job transaction sessions with nearly 98,000 participants; received and dealt with policies on unemployment insurance for more than 66,000 laborers. The whole province gave vocational training for nearly 33,000 laborers and 1,725 ones in the rural region. The rate of poor households in the province reduced to 3,620 households and 3,024 near-poor ones. The province spent more than VND237billion on giving Tet gifts, paying monthly allowances…for policy beneficiaries.

Speaking at the conference, Mr.Hung asked for the sector to well realize programs, tasks and solutions to create a breakthrough in job creation and poverty reduction; sufficiently and opportunely carry out policies for revolutionary contributors; focus on improving vocational training for rural laborers; protect, take care of children, implement gender equality and prevent social evils.

On this occasion, 3 individuals were awarded the first, second, third-class Labor Medals; 1 individual received the certificates of merit of the PM. The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs also presented the mementos “For the cause of Labor-War Invalids and Social Affairs” to 28 individuals…
