The Executive Board of provincial Buddhist Sangha, on April 11, donated 1,000 gifts worth more than VND2billion to blind people and those facing difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic at Hoi An pagoda in TDM city’s Hoa Phu ward.
Most venerable Thich Hue Thong, Deputy Secretary General of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Board of provincial Buddhist Sangha said that these gifts will contribute to supporting the local people affected by Covid-19 pandemic. They were funded by Buddhist dignitaries, monks and nuns from provincial Buddhist Sangha.
The Executive Board of provincial Buddhist Sangha also offered 15,000 face masks and 2,500 bottles of hand sanitizer to the local people in a bid to prevent Covid-19 pandemic. Provincial Buddhist Sangha will continue realizing many charity activities at Buddist pagodas across the province.
