Over VND60billion spent on humanitarian work

On the afternoon of December 26, provincial Red Cross Society held a conference to review its activities in 2018; sum up the implementation of the campaign “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address” for the period of 2008-2018; honor outstanding blood donors in 2018.

The event was attended by Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People’s Committee and Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

In 2018, provincial Red Cross Society and its branches continued maintaining humanitarian activities, reached and surpassed the set targets. Under the campaign of “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address”, they mobilized 2,336 agencies, units, enterprises and individuals to offer help of more than VND60billion to needy people over the past 10 years…

Addressing the conference, Mr.Hung acknowledged and applauded achievements done by officials, members and volunteers of provincial Red Cross Society in 2018; asked for the society, steering boards of voluntary blood donations at all levels, agencies, units and people to continue well realizing “mutual love, mutual affection” movements; suggested the society to improve its operational forms, further promote the local voluntary blood donation movement, set up another voluntary blood donation squads, honor outstanding collectives, individuals…

On this occasion, the Central Committee of Vietnam Red Cross Society honored 61 outstanding collectives, individuals in the implementation of the “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address” campaign for the period of 2008-2018. The conference also honored 216 outstanding families, individuals with 15 times of blood donation and above.
