Early July 31, provincial Red Cross Society held its 5th conference honoring advanced role-models.
The event was attended by Dang Minh Hung, former Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, Head of provincial Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization; Lam Van Hoa, Deputy Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Head of the Southern Agency of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee.

Two families with 70 times for voluntary blood donation awarded the certificates of merit of the Prime Minister
Over the past five years, provincial Red Cross Society’s emulation movements and campaigns mobilized more than VND645billion from organizations, individuals, offering help to more than 3.6million people. It is known that the whole province in the first half of 2020 only organized 41 voluntary blood donation stages or 46.5% of the set target, due to Covid-19 pandemic. The society’s total value from social charity activities was more than VND74billion, offering help to 521,776 people.
Addressing the event, Mr.Hoa applauded contributions by officials and members of provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels. He also asked for leaders of sectors, departments, localities to further create favorable conditions for provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels to work effectively.
On this occasion, 2 families with 70 times for voluntary blood donation were awarded the certificates of merit of the Prime Minister. There were also 4 individuals with the memento “For humanitarian cause”; 89 collectives, families, individuals with the certificates of merit of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee; 21 families and 92 individuals with the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee; 6 collectives and 94 individuals with the certificates of merit of provincial Red Cross Society.
