*Mid-term activities of Phuoc Hoa’s Red Cross Society under review
At a meeting preliminarily summing up its mid-term activities, Di An town’s Red Cross Society said that the local Red Cross Societies at all levels organized many social charity activities with a total value of more than VND6.5bln, including VND2.3bln for public healthcare.
Particularly, they mobilized organizations and individuals to build 11 Red Cross houses, presented 17,000 gifts, provided free medical check-ups and medicine for more than 4,000 poor patients, offered 39,000 free meals, provided eye surgery for 150 elderly people, donated 55 bicycles to poor-but-excellent pupils. Especially, they mobilized enterprises, organizations and individuals to support 11,297 needy cases with the regular allowance of between VND100,000 and VND300,000.
*The Red Cross Society of Phuoc Hoa commune in Phu Giao district has just preliminarily reviewed its mid-term activities of 2011 and 2016. Many social charity activities were implemented with a total value of more than VND2.13bln.
On the occasion of the 2014 traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, the society mobilized organizations and individuals to present 1,200 gifts worth more than VND275mln to people with difficult circumstances.
