On October 9, provincial Red Cross Society held a humanitarian market-day and donated money to humanitarian addresses in the remaining 6 months of the year under the campaign of “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address”.
The event was attended by Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Minh Thuy, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission together with representatives of sectors, departments, mass organizations in the province and donors.
Speaking at the event, Mr.Loc called on businesses, organizations, individuals to further offer help to needy cases in the coming time. On this occasion, provincial Red Cross Society donated the cost of building a “red cross” house worth VND70billion to a household in need of housing; offered VND259.2million to 144 humanitarian addresses in 11 wards of TDM city. Van Xuan Real Estate Trading Joint Stock Company funded heart surgeries for 3 cases with VND365million…It is known that the charity program has a total support value of more than VND900million.
