In spite of difficult family circumstance, paralytic legs, curved back since 8 years old due to influence of the Agent Orange, Truong Ly Kiet studying at class 9A3, Tan Phuoc Khanh secondary school (Tan Uyen district) has overcome his complex feeling to be an excellent pupil throughout 9 academic years.

Kiet usually practices on computer at free time to fulfill his dream.He was born normally as the first child of a 2-children family. But when he was 8, misfortune came. Because of a minor illness, his legs curled up and his back bent day by day. Doctor said that he was influenced by the Agent Orange and might not be able to move on his feet until 11. His father Truong Van Tien took him everywhere to find a cure for his illness. But for a long time, there was still no change. Since then his legs shrunk, his back humped gradually and then he was not able to walk to school, especially in raining days. However, he did not give up his learning enthusiasm. The daily image of a boy brought to school by his parents on an obsolete motorcycle became familiar with townspeople. Kiet pleased his parents by his intelligent, excellent learning results throughout 9 school years. He has interest in natural science subjects, so his accumulated mathematics point annually is always over 8.5. Additionally, he also like informatics subject. His parents bought an old computer for him when he was at 8th grade. He said: “In 6th and 7th grade, I could study informatics at school. But there was no subject of computing anymore in the 9th grade, thus I had to buy textbooks and learned at home by myself, because of my interest as well as dream fulfillment to become an accountant. Mr. Vuong Hung Le, vice principal of Tan Phuoc Khanh school said: "In spite of his disabilities, Kiet is enthusiastic about learning, become one of excellent students of our school and is loved by teachers, friends”. During 9 years, although Kiet has had to go to school by his parents’ foot, outstanding learning results are what he can do not to disappoint his parents, teachers.
