The Lunar New Year Festival will enable overseas Vietnamese in France, especially their second and third generations to learn more about Vietnamese culture, said President of Vietnamese Residents’ Association in France Therese Nguyen Van Ky.
During these days, the Vietnamese nationals in France have made thorough preparations for the Lunar New Year festival.
The highlight will include a special programme to be held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris in early February and a culinary festival to introduce Vietnam’s traditional dishes such as Banh Chung (Square rice cake), spring rolls, and vermicelli etc.
The Association’s Vice President Nguyen Van Bon affirmed that maintaining and promoting traditional cultural activities including the Lunar New Year festival is of great significance to the overseas Vietnamese community.
