Ever since 2004, the province has constructed 206 schools at the cost of VND 5,132,884 million. Besides, 30 floor constructions at the cost of VND 1,628,562 million are on construction. Thu Dau Mot City is the fastest locality in terms of infraconstruction.

From 2011 to today, the city has 23 completed floor constructions and 8 on-going ones for 2014. The emergence of new schools was the endeavor of all-level leadership and preservation of land for school construction.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc, Education and Training Office Chief said that so as to improve quality and effectiveness of education activities from 2011 to 2015, the city has implemented to complete the schooling system under national standards, satisfying the learning needs of the public.

Aside from new school constructions, the sector has made frequent repairs of the facilities and added up new equipment to schools.

We are always surprised by the new appearance everytime returning to rural districts of Phu Giao, Dau Tieng, and Tan Uyen, the new storeyed schools have been constructed beautifully.

Such schools as Vinh Hoa A Elementary School, An Linh Junior High School in Phu Giao District are the evidence of bright development of schooling in localities. Now, students do not need to go for kilometers for schools as they can choose schools near their home.

Despite the pressure of increasing student population in localities such as Thuan An, Di An, and Ben Cat, the localities have planned for development of schools enough for student placement.

Standard- and modernity-oriented investment

Mr. Duong The Phuong, DOET Director evaluated that schooling facilities of the province had basically satisfied the development of education. In the province more and more schools have been fortified and erected in storeys.

All the schools and classrooms of the province including remote and rural areas have been of Rank 4 and higher; however, in the areas of highly industrial development, the intense demographic development has made it more urgent to build up-to-standard schools.

Implementing the resolution of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee Congress, DOET has arranged schooling network and construction of schools from 2011 to 2015 when DOET shall coordinated with agencies to fortify schools and innovate schooling equipment in a bid to improve education quality.

Under the project, 31 preschools, 23 elementary schools, 23 junior high schools, 7 senior high schools, 2 continuing education centers and vocational training centers have been built while more investments have been made for 120 new constructions and expansion of 85 previously built constructions.

In the stage, it is targeted that all preschools and elementary schools shall be built under semi-dormitory models so that at least each district and town and Thu Dau Mot City should build two such schools.

As for Hung Vuong Specialized High School, construction shall be made to add up some facilities to be up to the standard of a special school.

From the date of the project, districts, towns, and Thu Dau Mot City have promoted construction of schools and classrooms across localities from 2011 to 2015.

In 2011 alone, 43 constructions have completed with tens of constructions put into use. By November 2014, aside from 124 complete construction, 30 others are on-going construction, 50 are under plans, 17 ones under brainstorming, and 31 ones in planning stage.

Preschools have been developed attentively in this stage. Thus, the province has made good implementation of the project of “education universalization for children of 5” which was completed by the end of 2013.
