Many significant activities for revolutionary contributors have been organized across the province on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947-July 27, 2014). Over the past time, the province has also always paid attention to taking care of policy beneficiary families and those who have rendered great service to the nation…For greater concern, Binh Duong Daily has just had a talk with Huynh Thi Hong Thu, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. She said:
On the annual Day of War invalids and Martyrs, Binh Duong always extracts more than VND15bln from State budget to visit, present gifts to outstanding revolutionary contributors; light candles and offer incense in memory of heroic martyrs at cemeteries, monuments across the province…
Over the past time, provincial People’s Committee also approved a project on building and upgrading 296 houses for revolutionary contributors. The province organized 3 stages presenting essential interior equipment, including chairs, tables, beds, electric cookers,… to Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids and the families of people who have rendered great service to the nation with a total value of more than VND1.9bln.
Could you tell us the implementation of policies on people who have rendered great service to the nation?
Over the past time, some guidance documents on the implementation of policies on people who have rendered great service to the nation were done very slowly. And this was improved by the central functional agencies. But, the central functional agencies also need to better ensure the implementation of these policies so that they could be done in a synchronous and effective way in localities...
Which measures will the province step up to better realize all the policies on people who have rendered great service to the nation?
With the attention of provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and the support of organizations, individuals in the “Paying debt of gratitude” movement, Binh Duong has created favorable conditions for revolutionary contributors to improve their living standards.
The most basic measure to help policy beneficiary families and those who have rendered great service to the nation have a better life is to further boost a policy on socialization of the “Paying debt of gratitude” movement. And this is seen as a responsibility of the whole society.
Thanks!
