Cleaning up martyrs’ tombs
On the occasion of the annual War invalids and Martyrs’ Day, youngsters under provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union have regularly cleaned up and redecorated tombs at provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery.
Luu Van Khanh, Secretary of Minerals and Construction Joint Stock Company’s Youth Union said that under the assignment of provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union, youngsters of the company’s Youth Union have cleaned up provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery and burned incense to commemorate heroes and martyrs who laid down their lives for national independence…
According to Huynh Thanh Tra, Deputy Secretary of provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union, cleaning up 5,370 tombs at provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery is one of youth works made by the Youth Union. On the annual great holidays, including the Tet festival, War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27), South Vietnam Liberation and national Reunification Day (April 30) and Vietnam People’s Army Day (December 22), provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union has cleaned up and redecorated tombs at provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery.
“Paying debt of gratitude” activities
To mark the 66th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union and its affiliates have actively got involved in “paying debt of gratitude” activities.
The Youth Union of Binh Duong Lottery One-Member Co.Ltd. has further maintained Nguyen Thi Sau, a Vietnamese heroic mother in Vinh Phu ward’s Hoa Long quarter in Thuan An town. Similarly, many other Youth Unions of Becamex IDC, Binh Duong Construction & Building Materials and One-Member Co.Ltd…have also actively taken care of Vietnamese heroic mothers.
Provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union and its affiliates have organized many “return to the root” trips for Youth Union members to commemorate heroics and martyrs who laid down their lives for national independence. Particularly, the Youth Unions of Binh Duong branch’s Vietcombank, provincial General Hospital, provincial Department of Industry and Trade and Binh Duong Daily visited and burned incense to commemorate military commander and poet Huynh Van Nghe at his tomb in Tan Uyen district’s Thuong Tan commune while visiting and presenting 10 gifts worth VND500,000 each to the families of wounded, sick soldiers and martyrs in Bach Dang commune.
Mr.Tra said that provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union has regularly got involved in the “paying debt of gratitude” activities in association with the programs namely “new rural construction”, “Towards nation’s sea and islands”. The Youth Union has also made many other activities such as providing free medical check-ups and medicine, building gratitude houses…
Last year, provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union and its affiliates visited and presented gifts to more than 200 families of war invalids and martyrs; visited and offered gifts for more than 20 Vietnamese heroic mothers with total expense of more than VND50mln…
