Arriving at Long Tho hamlet (Long Hoa commune, Dau Tieng district), every one knows about Danh Phich – a kind-hearted man. His 3-generation family with 8 members lives in a 30sqm hi-unity house granted by the commune People’s Committee. Despite the difficult circumstance, his family members are very kind, especially join positively in the movement of humanitarian blood donation. Until now, his family members have donated their blood for 76 times.
In the past, Danh Phich was worried that blood donation would impacted badly on his health but after mobilization of local Red Cross society staff, he realizes lofty significance of humanitarian blood donation. “Blood donation does not impact badly on health. More importantly, our drops of blood can save many people”, he shared.
Realizing the significant deed, Danh Phich joins bravely in humanitarian blood donation. In addition, he mobilizes his wife and children to join in the significant action. After 10 years of involving in humanitarian blood donation, Danh Phich has donated his blood for more than 20 times. Mrs. Hoa – his wife – has involved in blood donation for 16 times while his eldest child for 23 times and his remaining 3 children for more than 5 times.
Danh Phich revealed “My family is very difficult and I have no money to help the poor, so I considers humanitarian blood donation as a charity work”. Moreover, Danh Phich takes part in entombment team of Long Hoa commune Red Cross society.
Blood donation for community
Like other blood donors, Nguyen Ngoc Quy, chairman of Long Hoa commune Red Cross society in Dau Tieng district said that volunteer blood donation is a significant deed for the community. His family members have more than 60 times of blood donation, Nguyen Ngoc Quy alone has over 25 times.
Moreover, as the chairman of Long Hoa commune Red Cross society, he well completes dissemination and mobilization on humanitarian blood donation. Evidentially, Long Hoa commune annually reaches and surpasses its goal of humanitarian blood donation.
Talking about success of mobilizing humanitarian blood donation, Quy said “I have no big experience, I just try my best to mobilize people to join in humanitarian blood donation”.
