Doan Van Dong, Chairman of Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee said that on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, the district has organized 11 delegations to visit and offer gifts to the local policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors. Accordingly, the district has given 510 gifts worth more than VND770million for the local policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors. These gifts have not only paid tribute of the local authorities at all levels to policy beneficiaries, but also expressed the “When drinking water, remember its source” moral principle of the nation.

It is known that over the past years, the district paid more attention to “paying debt of gratitude” activities. For revolutionary contributor work getting better results, since early this year, the district has issued action plans, programs; mobilized organizations, individuals to develop the Gratitude Fund. Upon this, most policy beneficiary families herein have so far reached a stable life. Many have become typical examples in production and business.
Comprehensive care
According to statistics, the whole district now has 827 policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors enjoying monthly allowances. Over the past years, the district paid attention to taking good care of the material and spiritual lives of revolutionary contributors and policy beneficiary families.
Since early this year, the district’s support policies on health insurance, education, vocational training and healthcare have been implemented in a synchronous way. The district has also taken 110 policy beneficiaries to Khanh Hoa province for convalesce; organized home convalesce for 205 targeted people with a total expense of more than VND471million from the central State budget.
In addition, the district has attached special importance to socialization for the Gratitude Fund; mobilized all resources to take care of wounded, sick soldiers, martyrs’ relatives, policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors. Do Thi Vang, a mother of martyr Nguyen Ngoc Khuyen in An Thai commune’s Phu Thinh 2 hamlet said that she has received attention and care from authorities at all levels through many significant activities.
Possibly affirming, the district’s “paying debt of gratitude” movement over the past time expressed the responsibility of the local Party, government and people to policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors. The above practical activities helped the local policy beneficiaries rise up in life, deserving the titles of “model citizen”, “exemplary revolutionary family”…
