While the pandemic is rising and spreading rapidly in the world, Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular has been taking drastic actions with the involvement of the whole political system, agencies, unions and people. In order to quickly repel and win the pandemic, it is necessary that the community and authorities joins hands for the disease prevention and control.

To strengthen the role of Community Covid Teams, Covid Safety Teams
Referring to the role of Community Covid-19 Teams, Covid Safety Teams, Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, said that Community Covid-19 Team is one of the effective keys to promote the strength of the entire people and be an extension of functional forces in the disease prevention control work. The task of the teams is to go every house to inform, communicate, and remind people of anti-epidemic measures; request and explain to people how to self-monitor health, proactively make medical declarations when themselves or their family members have symptoms.
Community Covid Teams, Covid Safety Teams are also responsible for monitoring, detecting and reporting immediately by phone to local authorities, commune- or ward-level medical centers suspected cases of Covid-19 at households, including those who did not voluntarily declare their health conditions, do not comply with disease prevention control measures. On that basis, local Steering Committees for Covid-19 Prevention and Control impose strict penalties on those who do not comply with disease prevention control regulations.
Previously, in order to overcome some limitations and shortcomings of Community Covid Teams and Covid Safety Teams, Provincial People's Committee issued Directive No. 12/CT-UBND on "Improving the operational efficiency of Community Covid Team, Covid Safety Teams in epidemic surveillance in residential areas and businesses”. Accordingly, 100% of residential units are supervised by Community Covid Teams and Covid Safety Teams. People's Committees of districts, towns and cities set up a sub-committees to direct operations of Community Covid Teams and develop an implementation plan before July 10. People's Committees of communes, wards and townships developed plans for Community Covid Teams with specific practical activities. The subcommittees to direct activities of district-level Community Covid Teams established their own Zalo groups to inform activities, update and report the situation in a timely manner.
To ensure 100% of businesses inside and outside industrial parks, supermarkets, commercial centers, convenience stores, conventional markets are under the supervision of Covid Safety Teams. Provincial People's Committee assigned Department of Health and Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control to study and complete regulations, instructions, and immediately disseminate to medical units so that the teams can operate more effectively.
“5K” + vaccines and IT application
To uphold the fighting spirit against the pandemic, whenever there is a new Covid-19 case, provincial authorities quickly have a plan for quick zoning, narrow blockade, speedy contact tracing, checking each person, test widely and quickly. Experiencing several epidemic outbreaks, Binh Duong won victory in each battle. But in order to win in the big pandemic war, we need to create a more proactive offensive posture, consider "attack is the best defense" to protect people against the pandemic. One of the effective measures to attack the disease today is to implement the "5K" message recommended by the Ministry of Health and the Covid-19 vaccine.
In addition to making efforts in research and testing to launch Vietnam's Covid-19 vaccine products, implementing Resolution No.21/NQ-CP dated February 26th 2021 of the Government on the purchase and use Covid-19 vaccine, the Ministry of Health has been actively negotiating with vaccine manufacturers, international organizations to buy and import large quantities of vaccines, organize vaccination against Covid-19 for all people in the country.
In addition the "5K" and vaccines, a set of "technological weapons", including Bluezone, NCOVI, Vietnam Health Declaration applications, medical declarations, Covid-19 safety map are effective measures to help detect infected cases in the community. In the event of a new outbreak, this measure will be effective in tracing and zoning the spread of the disease, help in the rapid blockade of infected areas, reducing the extensive spreading in the community. In addition, in order to join hands to win the epidemic, the consensus and cooperation of all people is imperative. Every citizen, every family need to become a fortress in the disease prevention control.
