People’s consensus of strict social distancing

After 2 days of implementing social distancing in Chanh My, Hiep An, Phu Hoa and Hiep Thanh wards of Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An city, and Tan Uyen town according to Directive 16 of the Prime Minister, all classes of people, business households and enterprises in these localities have strictly complied. Although the decisions have a significant impact on daily life and production, all of them agree to abide by the regulations in order to join hands to effectively stamp out the epidemic.

People’s consensus

According to reporters, immediately after implementing the application of social distancing according to Directive 16 of the Prime Minister, all classes of people and business establishments in the areas agreed. Understanding the danger of the epidemic, people should strictly abide by social distancing regulations. In Tan Phuoc Khanh ward of Tan Uyen town, the street is quiet as most people stay at home and only go out when necessary to buy food and necessities.

“We, the people strongly agree with the policy of blockade and medical quarantine for disease prevention and control although many people's business and trade are affected. We want to join hands to control and stamp out the epidemic so that people can return to normal life," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Sen, a business householder in Binh Hoa 2 neighborhood of Tan Phuoc Khanh ward.

Many local workers said that although they had to take time off from work, they all shared difficulties with the locality in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. There are immediate difficulties, but it is necessary to sacrifice personal interests in order to effectively stamp out the epidemic and shorten the time of isolation and quarantine in the area to return to work soon. “We hope the epidemic will end soon so that everyone can return to work. Therefore, we tell each other to stay at home and limit going out to prevent the epidemic in the joint efforts," said Ms. Tran Thi Hong Sang, a native of Hau Giang province and worker of Wonjin Co. Ltd. at Binh Hoa 2 street, Tan Phuoc Khanh ward, Tan Uyen town.

At Chanh My ward in Thu Dau Mot city, one of the four wards of Thu Dau Mot city, social distancing was carried out according to Directive 16 of the Prime Minister. Right on the first day of applying the directive, business households and people in the area have strictly complied with the suspension of non-essential service activities and ensured the distance according to regulations as well as strictly followed the "5K" message of Ministry of Health. Mr. Vuong Thanh Bao, Chairman of People's Committee and Head of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control in Chanh My ward, said that most people in the area agree and strictly abide by the regulations. The locality has also strengthened the supervision of the observance of the distancing regulations to promptly detect and strictly handle violations.

“For the areas of temporary blockade and medical quarantine, the forces on duty at the checkpoints focus on ensuring security and order, and at the same time support to receive and transfer essential necessities to people in the quarantine area to ensure safety and to help people feel secure during the quarantine period," said Mr. Bao.

All forces concentrate on Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control

In Thuan An City, as noted by reporters, after 2 days of social distancing, all activities and people's lives are still stable at a slower pace than usual. Meanwhile, most restaurants and non-essential businesses are closed to ensure the epidemic prevention and control.

Being at the 5th floor area of Thuan An city Medical Center on June 21, we witnessed hundreds of people in the priority and frontline forces of the city's epidemic prevention and control were waiting to be vaccinated against Covid-19. Meanwhile, in the corridor on the ground floor of the center, the city's health force is still continuously and urgently taking samples for testing to screen those who are related and have been in close contact with the Covid-19 positive cases.

The application of Directive 16 to the whole city is one of the efforts to prevent, control and stamp out the epidemic in Thuan An city. After applying social distancing measures according to Directive 16, the city has minimized the risk of disease transmission in the community. At the same time, through this option, local functional forces will easily localize tracing, epidemiological investigation, and perform testing for the suspected cases to soon have a quarantine plan.

Joining hands to prevent and control the epidemic, agencies and units of Thuan An city have implemented many practical and effective programs. In particular, the Vietnamesw Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An city has actively propagated and mobilized organizations, businesses and people to support Covid-19 prevention resources. Accordingly, since the beginning of the 4th epidemic, the city's Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee has persistently campaigned and propagated organizations, businesses and people to contribute hundreds of millions of cash and many other contributions of food and medical equipment with an estimated value of billions of VND.

It is known that after receiving donations from organizations, businesses, and people, the city's Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee transferred all donated resources to units and localities in need of support. Along with that, many organizations, businesses and people continue to contribute to the city's Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund, believing that the solidarity and consensus of the political system, businesses and people of Thuan An city will create great strength for the province and the whole nation to soon overcome the pandemic.
