Since the start of this year, the provincial People’s Police Force has made achievements to salute its traditional day on July 20 and celebrate the 65th anniversary of People’s Public Security (Aug.19, 1945-2010).
Units under the provincial Public Security and its affiliates launched many raids against crimes, bringing order across localities. The most highlighted achievement was a successful raid against a group of crimes causing robberies and murders.
In the first half of this year, the functional agencies arrested 635 crimes, confiscated 72 motorbikes and other assets with the total value of nearly VND700mil.
In terms of drug crime control, aside from promulgations of drug crime control to local residents, provincial Police force and its affiliates have boosted inspections and arrested about 150 drug offenders, confiscating about 100gram of heroin and other exhibits. Besides, they found out 155 breaches of smuggling, banned product trade and so on.
The work of solving environmental violations has reached many significant results. They discovered and solved 22 violations of environmental law with the total fine of VND150mil. From efforts of police force, legal breaches have been curbed about 20.7% from the first half of 2009.
To reap the above results, since the start of this year, the provincial Public Security’s directorate has constantly launched patriotic emulation movements and the mobilization of “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples”. Besides, the force has received a great cooperation from residents to arrest offenders.
Since early 2010, the entire provincial Public Security has had 146 excellent collectives and 675 individuals making achievements in fighting against offenders. 18 workgroups and 291 residents have been praised unexpectedly for their achievements in the movement of “All people protect national security”.
