Perfect institutions, policies, and training human resources to develop the culture, sports and tourism industry

On December 18, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held an online conference to summarize works in 2024 and deploy key tasks of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector in 2025, with the theme: “Building an advanced culture imbued with national identity - The driving force for national development in the new era - The era of the Vietnamese people's rise”. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and directed the conference. At the Binh Duong endpoint, the conference was attended by Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives from provincial departments, branches, and sectors.

In 2024, the entire industry proactively implemented the assigned tasks, leading to significant achievements in culture, sports, and tourism, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's report. The sports sector made a significant impact at international sports events, securing a total of 1,175 international medals (including 447 gold, 344 silver, and 384 bronze). 

The tourism sector achieved impressive numbers, with 17.2 - 17.5 million international visitors; 110 million domestic visitors. In 2024, total revenue from tourism is estimated to reach 840 trillion VND. The development of cultural industries has garnered significant attention from both the Party and the State, along with active participation from all levels of government, various sectors, localities, and society as a whole. Cultural diplomacy has also seen many positive developments.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and appreciated the contributions of the Culture, Sports, and Tourism sector to the overall development of the country. He urged this sector to focus on finding solutions to improve institutions and policies, reform administrative procedures, and develop infrastructure for culture, sports, and tourism in the upcoming period. Pay attention to training high-quality human resources for the sector, have appropriate policies and mechanisms to train early, remotely, from a young age, and retain talented people...
