The movement of lifelong learning in family and community has been promoted across the province. The province’s learning models have contributed to building up a learning based society under the policy of the Party and State.
Building up learning-based society
Under the Project on accelerating the movement of lifelong learning in family and community till 2020, provincial Study Promotion Society has implemented pilot learning models in Tan Uyen town’s Bach Dang commune. So far, there have been 100% of communes and wards in the province registering for the realization of learning models in family and community. Duong The Phuong, Chairman of provincial Study Promotion Society has spoken highly of learning models, actively affecting the local new-style rural and cultural lifestyle construction.

The movement of building learning models has been associated with the local campaigns, including the campaign of “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle, new-style rural and civilized urban areas”…Mr.Phuong said that developing learning models has promoted the movement of lifelong learning among officials, civil servants and laborers, especially contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education, maintaining the fruits of universal education and illiterate eradication in education and training.

Thuan An city’s Study Promotion Society has well realized the Project on accelerating the movement of lifelong learning in family and community till 2020. In 2019, there were 83,99 % of the local families recognized as learning ones.

The Study Promotion Society branch of An Thuan hamlet in Ben Cat town’s Phu An commune has also taken fruits in building the movement of learning family with the participation of all households. Particularly, the branch coordinated with sectors, mass organizations to mobilize pupils dropping out of school to come back to school; mobilized laborers to attend vocational training courses organized by the local farmers ‘association and women’s union. Over the past 5 years, the branch donated nearly 3,000 notebooks, 9 scholarships, 10 schoolbags and many other gifts to the local poor pupils.
In the coming time, the province will strive to reach targets on building up a sustainable learning-based society.
