The first destination was at Huynh Van Thanh’s household in Dong Chinh hamlet, Phuoc Hoa commune, Phu Giao district who referred on an article titled “A paralyzed husband and a cancer wife”. In a dilapidated house, Thanh laid motionless in his bed whilst his wife is hospitalized for final-stage cancer disease. Thanh family’s main labor is now Huynh Tan Khuong but Khuong was used to suffer an accident, so his health is now weak.
Nguyen Van Tam, a local resident and donor shared “We herein willingly give a helping hand to Thanh family”. Despite disadvantage of distance, owner of Giua Pho coffee shop on Thich Quang Duc road sent his employees to Thanh family to grant him VND2mil in cash whilst Le Thi My Dung, the owner of LeJu fashion shop on DT743 road granted VND1mil and a gift package to Thanh. These gifts are like lifebuoys, helping Thanh and his wife prolong their live.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Oc Buou in hamlet 6, Tan Long commune, Phu Giao district welcomed Binh Duong Newspaper delegation’s gift visit. Buou’s second child is cerebral palsy. A modest income of Buou and her husband is not enough for treatment and livelihood expense for the whole family. Holding VND2mil in cash on her hand, Buou is happy in tears.
Arriving at Luong Thanh Tung’s household in Minh Hoa commune, Dau Tieng district, we realized his difficult circumstance. His activities are now very slow, owing to brain injury’s influences caused by traffic accident. His oldest child is in detoxification center whilst his youngest child is mental illness. Truong Thanh Huong, vice chairman of Minh Hoa commune People’s Committee said that Tung’s household is a local poor one. On holidays, Tet, locality always grants gifts to him and offers loans for his wife to do business.
