Early March 19, Ben Cat town Steering Board of National Pivotal Program on New Rural Development held a ceremony announcing Phu An commune’s new rural standards and launched a movement of waste collection and separation at source.
After 4 years of new rural construction implementation (2011-2015), up to now, Phu An commune met 19/19 new rural construction criteria with the total source of capital of VND 340 billion and was recognized as a new rural standardized commune in 2015 by Chair of Provincial People’s Committee. By the mentioned capital, the commune has built rural roads, irrigational works, schools, cultural institutions, etc. The infrastructure works in the commune have been basically completed; the production activities have constantly been developing; the material and spiritual lives of the people have been improved.
At the ceremony, Division of Natural Resources and Environment, people’s committees of Phu An commune, An Dien commune, An Tay commune, the town Public Works Enterprise, Waste Treatment Enterprise, and Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage – Environment Co. Ltd. signed a covenant of waste separation at source. After the ceremony, Ben Cat town’s Youth Union members have distributed propaganda leaflets of waste separation in residential and cleaned rural roads in Phu An commune.
