*Weather remains hot and muggy
Before the prolonged hot weather, Phu Binh plantation in Phu Giao district has instructed its staff to intensify anti-forest fire measures and education work among locals to heighten their vigilance against forest fire, said plantation director Nguyen Tan Binh. The plantation now controls and exploits more than 5,800 ha of forest.
On the evening of March 9 to dawn of 10, Ben Cat and Phu Giao districts had out-of-season rains. Phan Van Chuc, director of provincial Hydrometeorology Center said that out-of-season rains will appear in the coming days and then the weather will be hot and muggy with temperature of 340C-350C. Predictably, March and April will face the prolonged hot weather with temperature that is likely to reach 380C, due to the impact of the Elnino phenomenon.
