At the meeting, the organizers called for the local sectors, authorities at all levels, mass organizations and people to actively engage activities in environmental protection, including minimizing the use of plastic bags, collecting plastic waste, planting green trees, clearing canals…
After the meeting, numerous officials, armed forces and pupils in the district also took part in planting green trees along the two sides of DH504 street.
*Early June 5, Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee organized a meeting in response to the World Environment Day 2018 under the theme of “Beat plastic pollution”.
Accordingly, the district called for relevant agencies to take solutions to boost management over natural resources and environment; be proactive to combat climate change; mobilize people from all strata to limit the use of plastic bags, encourage them to use environmentally friendly materials; make environmental hygiene…, thereby raising public awareness of environmental protection.
At the ceremony, the district also held games on environmental protection, a program exchanging waste for gifts together with propaganda activities on environmental protection in communes and residential areas.
