Pham Quoc Huu Thai, Chairman of An Thai commune People’s Committee, said after 5 implementation years (2011-2015) of new rural construction, by October 2015, the commune achieved 19/19 criteria and 39/39 targets of new rural construction. Management Board of new rural construction program in Phuoc Sang commune (Phu Giao district) said, at the end of September, the commune achieved 19/19 criteria and 39/39 targets of new rural construction. Total investment of the program was more than VND133.7 billion, including over 4.3 billion contributed by the people; local people also voluntarily donated more than 53,5m2 land to new rural road construction.
Currently, Phu Giao district has 2 communes accredited for new rural commune. These are Tan Hiep and Tan Long commune. As planned, the district will have another 6 new rural communes of An Long, An Binh, An Linh, An Thai, Tam Lap and Phuoc Sang; and 2 more new rural communes of Vinh Hoa and Phuoc Hoa until 2020.
