To promote effectiveness
To classify students after secondary education, students, who were not qualified for public 10th grade, selected Phu Giao district Vocational training - continuing education center for their study. Their choice is correct, because here they are able to learn general knowledge and get vocational training. Director Nguyen Thanh Giau said that the center had two functions, teaching general knowledge and vocational training. Regarding continuing education, the center conducts the illiteracy eradication program and after literacy; Educational programs meet learners' requirements, provide knowledge, skills and technology transfer; training program is to raise professional qualifications; educational program for continual high school certificate.
Students of the center have resonated in many years, because of their prizes of mathematic problem solving on Casio calculator contests organized by Ministry of Education and Training; province-level excellent high school students’ competitions in math and literature.

In the field of vocational training, the center trains students for direct production, business and services at the primary level, vocational training for less than 3 months; training in the form of tutorials, job training; training and upgrading technical skills for workers in enterprises; improving professional skills of employees; provide vocational training for rural workers and implement policies on primary education and training for less than 3 months. In addition to intermediate classes, the center also offers short-term training courses such as: embroidery, flower arrangement, foreign languages, informatics... In vocational training, the center is quite efficient when attracting a large number of students. The center has cooperated and given training of 13 intermediate vocational training courses such as: welding, industrial electricity, cultivation and plant protection, accounting and informatics. In 2019, students of the first training course will graduate, contributing actively to training skilled human resources for Phu Giao district.
Training associated with social needs
Thanks to the orientation towards training associated with social needs, the center has received the attention of students. The center cooperated with Lilama2 Administration College to open many vocational classes for students. The most recent is the 2018-2020 intermediate training of industrial electrical and welding, with 131 trainees. According to Mr. Giau, now the demands for manpower of this industry are very high, students also have opportunities for labor export to developed countries. After this training, students have two certificates: supplementary high school and vocational training at junior college level. As a result, they can shorten their study time, reduce family and social expenses.
Training classes of cultivation and plant protection cooperated with Rubber Industry College is also an option for students in Phu Giao. The international integration requires Vietnam to develop hi-tech agriculture. The development of modern economy, clean and safe agriculture, high-tech agriculture has been one of the policies pursued by Phu Giao district Party and authorities in recent years. This policy was specified by the 4th district Party Congress, 2015-2020, into an action program with detailed objectives, to build Phu Giao as a knowledgeable agricultural district in the product chain. That was also the reason for the center to choose training this profession.
According to Mr. Giau, to meet the demands for human resource training of the district, the center planed to develop reform-oriented vocational training, select professions and industries in light of local needs, training was attached to improvement of training quality and effectiveness. In addition, the center will also implement a project of vocational training renewal and development, a vocational training project for rural workers according to their assigned functions and tasks; to effectively implement policies, programs and projects to support the development of vocational training, especially vocational training for rural laborers and demobilized soldiers; To propose solutions to attract, increase the quantity and quality of vocational training, especially the intermediate, primary and short-term training courses to meet the demand for high-quality technical labor for the province and region, labor export and demands, economic restructuring, and new rural construction.
Communication and counseling to change the society’s awareness of vocational training, career development, and meet human resource demands also receive more attention. Other tasks to be carried out in parallel, namely, to advise the district on policy performance to encourage vocational training; to survey vocational training needs in order to provide career guidance in line with local and provincial socio-economic development planning and human resource development planning.
