Early July 3, Phu Giao district’s Youth Union held a conference to partially sum up its activities in the first half of 2014 and define orientations, tasks for the rest of the year.
The district’s Youth Unions at all levels in the first half of the year effectively implemented the contents of the Youth Union task and revolutionary action programs. Particularly, they admitted additional 642 Youth Union members while 62 outstanding Youth Union members were admitted into the Communist Party of Vietnam. They also continued getting involved in volunteer movements in national defence and construction; joined hands with units to donate 2 houses of compassion worth VND60mln to Youth Union members with difficult circumstances; provided free medical checks, medicine and gave 250 gifts for poor people; upgraded several rural roads, installed a lighting system on a road in Phuoc Hoa commune; successfully organized an enlistment camping festival with many practical activities; held classes on information technology for 24 Youth Union members and introduced jobs to 30 others…
For the rest of the year, the district’s Youth Unions at all levels will further implement the contents of the Youth Union task and revolutionary action programs, including organizing the Congress of the district’s Youth Federation for the 2014 and 2019 tenure.
