Nguyen Thi Tuyet Lan, a farmer in Le Trang hamlet, Vinh Hoa commune said that hot weather was forced farmers to spur watering and keep wet for vegetables. To enjoy water source for farming, many farmers have to drill wells and this increases production expenses.
Meanwhile, Mrs Chin, a chilly grower in An Long commune said that chilly will give low productivity if it lacks of water, so in the hot weather, chilly growers have to increase watering from ordinary days.
Meanwhile, perennial growers have worried about shortage of water. Nguyen Truong Hai, head of Phu Giao district Plant Protection Station, said the station sent documents to warn localities and farmers of taking care of plants.
