*55 candidates participate in the “When men cook” game show
Phu Giao district’s Farmers Association, on October 13, held a get-together to mark the 84th founding anniversary of Vietnam Farmers Association (October 14, 1930-October 14, 2014).
At the get-together, members of the district’s Farmers Association reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnamese farmers in the process of national construction & defense and the history & development of the Vietnam Farmers’ Association over the past 84 years. Together with working classes and intellectual circles, Vietnamese farmers have become a main force in the national great unity bloc.
Farmers in Phu Giao district over the past 15 years made contributions to the local process of construction and development via many emulation movements. Since 2012, the whole district has had a total of 13,926 farming households with the title of “Good farmers in production and business”, or 79.49% of total. The district’s Farmers Associations at all levels have also considered and disbursed loans for the local farmers to develop home based business. As of September 2014, the total outstanding loans for the local farmers reached more than VND65bln…
On this occasion, the district’s Farmers Association also awarded the mementoes to 9 outstanding individuals.
*The same day, Phu Giao district’s Farmers Association held a game show named “When men cook” with the participation of 55 candidates. The organizing board also awarded first prize to Tam Lap commune. Second and third prizes went to An Long commune and Phuoc Hoa commune.
