Early June 4, Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee held a meeting in response to World Environment Day (June 5).
The district’s People’s Committee over the past time actively engaged in environmental protection activities in the intensified period of national industrialization and modernization. In response to this year’s World Environment Day themed “Sustainable use protects the earth”, along with calling for sectors, mass organizations and locals to actively carry out practical activities to protect the environment, the district’s People’s Committee will get involved in planting green trees, dredging canals, building waste treatment works; simultaneously mobilize production-business facilities to save fuel, water and power, restrict the use of unregenerate energy sources and apply environmentally friendly technologies into production to minimize green house gas emissions causing climate change.
After the meeting, leaders of the district’s sectors, mass organizations, pupils together with owners of production-business facilities in the district took part in a parade along DH507 street to mobilize locals to join hands in environmental protection.
