Phu Giao district’s Party Committee Secretary Tran Binh Son visiting and present Tet gift to a social policy beneficiary family
Acccording to Cao Thanh Xuan, head of Phu Giao district’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, on the occasion of the annual Tet festival, his division has been instructed to make thoughtful plans to visit and donate Tet gifts to poor people and social policy beneficiaries. Every year, Phu Giao district presents around 1,000 Tet gifts to these people with a total cost, extracted by the local State budget, but mainly funded by donors.
Mass organizations, sectors and localities in the district have also actively taken care of the poor on the occasion of the annual Tet festival. In addition to taking care of the poor on Tet, Phu Giao district has well realized the “paying debt of gratitude” activities for social policy beneficiary families. On the occasion of the 2011 Tet festival, the district will extract its State budget and mobilize donors to donate 520 gifts to policy beneficiaries and 327 other gifts to needy people with a total expense of more than VND350mln. Sectors, mass organizations and localities in the district will also present thousands of Tet gifts to poor people and social policy beneficiaries across the district.
The district’s Mobilization Board of the Fund for the Poor also expects to hand over 40 unity houses to poor households on the occasion of the 2011 Tet festival. Possibly speaking, paying attention to taking care of poor people and social policy beneficiaries on the annual Tet festival is part of the policies on social welfare and is also a driving force for them to rise up…
