Early May 25, Phu Giao district’s Labor Union held a conference to review trade union activities in the first half of 2025 and commend outstanding workers.
During the first six months of the year, grassroots trade unions coordinated with local authorities, businesses and relevant organizations to visit and support nearly 300 trade unionists and workers affected by illness, accidents or occupational diseases, with total assistance amounting to nearly VND 120 million. The district’s Labor Union also partnered with the Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP) to disburse more than VND 1.2 billion in loan to 26 trade unionists, helping them improve their livelihoods, increase income and stabilize their lives. Additionally, the 2025 “Trade Union Tet Market” program was successfully organized, delivering practical benefits to workers.
The district’s Labor Union also presented 650 Tet gifts to migrant workers with difficult circumstances who could not return home for Tet and another 200 gifts to trade unionists suffering from serious illnesses, workplace accidents or occupational diseases.
At the conference, Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee Chairman awarded the certificates of merit to 50 exemplary workers for outstanding achievements in labor, innovation and technical improvement, contributing to enhanced work efficiency. The district’s Labor Union also recognized 24 trade union officials for their significant contributions and presented 120 gifts worth VND 800,000 each to disadvantaged workers.
On this occasion, Phu Giao district’s Labor Union also awarded the certificates of merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to one collective and two individuals for their exceptional achievements in the “Excellent Labor” emulation movement and in building a strong trade union organization. Provincial Labor Union Standing Committee presented the emulation flag to the grassroots trade union of Nguyen Trai Secondary School for being recognized as a “Strong grassroots trade union with the most outstanding emulation movement in the 2023–2024 academic year” and awarded the certificates of merit to numerous collectives and individuals for their outstanding accomplishments in various emulation campaigns.
